Many people are nervous about coming to their first class – and we understand that!
We can’t tell you how many times people have said “But I’ve got two left feet”, or “But I’ve got no idea how to dance”. We’ll tell you a secret….that’s why you should come to a class!
Some of the great things about our proven Ceroc format:
- Turn up without a partner and be guided by our teachers to dance with different people throughout the night
- Or turn up WITH a partner (maybe a Date Night…?) for some focussed learning with your favourite person
- Either way you can meet some new people, make some new friends, and learn some simple but impressive dance moves!
The Format
Please note below is our regular format for our midweek classes – not applicable to our Sunday night IntroMediate format (which is not suitable for first timers).
7pm – Doors Open
FOR BEGINNERS:
- 7.15pm-8pm – Beginner Class
- 8pm-8.30pm – Social Dance Time
- 8.30pm-9pm – Beginner Buddy Session – the opportunity to spend up to 30 minutes with our designated Beginner Buddies for the night and get feedback, tuition and general advice
- 9pm-9.15pm – We invite you to watch the remainder of the Intermediate Class*
- 9.15pm-10pm – Social Dance Time
*Generally we advise at least 8 Beginner Classes before moving up to the Intermediate Class, but everyone is different! When you feel confident with all your beginner moves and techniques, chat to your Beginner Buddies to get the ‘Thumbs Up to Move Up‘!
FOR INTERMEDIATES:
- 7.15pm-8pm – Beginner Class – we love that our intermediate dancers participate in this!
- 8pm-8.30pm – Social Dance Time
- 8.30pm-9.15pm – Intermediate Class
- 9.15pm -10pm – Social Dance Time
After Class
At all classes everyone is very social so there’s also generally some drinks and chat downstairs in the bar afterwards – make sure you stick around!
